Getting back to normal in Ohio

Ok...I told you I would try to post more often so here is my attempt. I will probably post once a week for sure but will try and do more. We are now unpacked, decorated and we are going to start our bed time routine tonight.

Shelby - well she is Shelby...she has met some friends in the neighborhood and we went to her school today to meet her teacher. She will start soccer sometime next week.

Allison - She is such a busy bee helping around the house. She loves her new room and has made a lot of friends in the neighborhood. She is always outside with them.

End Times - in a Nutshell

I have quite a bit to say about the end times in general, but I only have about 6 minutes left in my lunch hour, so I'll be REALLY brief. I was talking to a buddy of mine on Facebook chat, and we were discussing the end of the world and the Mayan predictions that the world is going to end December 21st, 2012.

It's not Winter Anymore!

I couldn't resist the title! I am so glad to see the sun and the temperature being over 65 degrees. It was a great day out today. I actually got a little burnt. Brian and Allison did too. Shelby didn't because she begged me to put sunscreen on her. I thought come on we won't get burnt but Brian reminded me do you want her to say told you so later. So I sprayed it on. Trey slept the whole time in his stroller so he didn't get any.

My heart and passion

I've had a number of people commenting on my recent, "What are you doing now?" that I currently have on Facebook. It reads, "Brian Klinger is trying to figure out what he's going to be when he grows up." Last night my 6 year old came home from Kindergarten with a booklet of her and her classmates, and one of the questions they were all asked is, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Her answer is awesome: "I want to be a mommy when I grow up because that means I get to have kids!" My daughter has more wisdom like that than I know what to do with. I feel like her sometimes, though.

Life getting crazy

You know, God's pretty amazing.

Do you ever stop to think about your life and what it's becoming? If you have, then you're probably like me, where once in a while you step back and wonder how things got so out of control and why you can't juggle what you thought you could or what you used to or whatever. You may have caught yourself saying things like, "I'm sorry I haven't __(fill in blank here)__, life's just gotten kind of nuts lately," or "Man, __(insert crazy life situation here)__ just came up, so I can't afford that right now," way more often than you ever intended or wanted.

My first Blog

Ok...some people have asked me to start blogging as people really do read this site...so I thought since I am at home with a sick child today (which he is acting just fine playing but has been sick) I would blog.

Well we have less then 12 weeks till we move to Ohio and I feel like I am so unorganized with this move. I mean before I would have started really packing already but this time I have like 3 little ones that I have to pack too. I am sure everything will get done but I feel like I am behind.

One Month!

So I blew right past the one month marker. Don't worry, I made it. Just been too busy to let you all know about it. I'm still going strong! Can't wait for 2 months! God is SOOO AMAZING! And then tonight God was able to use what He's done in my life to reach someone else! I'm so not worthy, but I'm glad I don't have to be!

Update

OK... if you're reading this, you probably have more time allotted for things like reading blogs than I have. ;) Seriously, every time I think of my blog I'm disappointed that I don't have time to update whoever IS reading this. Here's a quick one for you since it's been over a week now.

The blog exp is still going strong. 23 days and counting! Can't wait to celebrate a full month.

Our house in Ohio is coming together nicely. We're waiting for a response about something that showed up on the home inspection, but we're hoping to resolve this soon.

The Corner

Sorry it's been a while since my last blog. After being sick last week in the stomach, I'm not sick in the throat and on top of all of that, my wife got sick, so I've not had as much time to do things like blog. Here's a quick update: Things are still going INCREDIBLY well!

Days 3 - 6 - or Bleh days

Bleh days. For 3 days I've been incredibly sick to my stomach. It started on day 4 and has continued into today. So far these 3 days I've drunk a ton of water and about 64 oz. of Gatorade and one bowl of soup (which I kind of forced down, just because I knew I couldn't go forever without eating). To look on the bright side, I've lost almost 10 pounds and have broken a caffeine addiction (I've done this before - man these headaches suck!) On the realistic side, I need to be very careful as I start feeling better that I don't fall into old habits again...
